Last night was the first night that it was just K and I in the bed. After each girl fell asleep K scooped them up and put them in their beds. They of course barreled into the room this morning and made my attempts to sleep in futile. Last night after more repetitive movie watching (we saw “Mirror Mirror” again) the girls went to sleep. K and I spent the rest of our anniversary watching television.
With the exception of a few tantrums here and there, the girls have been good. I’m of the impression that Anna knows that K and I plan to marry while Margaret is oblivious. She keeps doing the whole “I’m watching you” thing from the Focker movies. I have been combing their hair and assisting in parenting. The more I do so the more I begin to see the type of parent I might have been had I had children. I’m definitely the stricter type. The girls can be a little wild and although I give them some leeway, I’m the first to tell them to behave.
We went to see “Madagascar 3” and we’re now eating at Joe’s Crab Shack. In truth they’re playing on the outdoor playground as I man the table, wait for our food and blog.
Kids are expensive. Well kids and being in New Jersey. Let’s just say that I’ll be truly in debt for a long time. I will say that all things considered, I’m very relaxed and happy to be here.
