In a snap it was over,
In a snap things had changed.
I opened the blinds,
And let in the sun’s rays.

You are not the one,
Delusions now over.
I see it more clearly,
A weight off my shoulders.

I may be difficult and moody,
I may live life alone.
I may love you quite deeply,
But settle no more.

I’m happy, I’m sad,
I’m tormented and blue.
But at the end of the day,
To thine own self I’m true.

Before you can hurt me,
I’ll put up my walls.
I’ll protect my own heart,
From any further harm.
