End of Cotton

End of Cotton

I suppose it’s time to say goodbye,
To what wasn’t meant to be.
A hard life lesson learned,
So young, will last eternity.

Of days gone by and turning blue,
A love that was quite blind.
I wish for you all that’s true with my heart’s divine.

For things are finally at a close,
The book’s last chapter told.
The memories of all the years all now left behind.
Oh how it hurts.
