You pretend that you know me,
But cast not a care.
As you look at me blindly,
With that intensive stare.

I opened my heart,
I exposed my soul.
My eyes wide open,
While all the while closed.

If I asked you to love me,
Would you so dare?
Or leave me as you have,
And cause such a scare?

Whose arms will hold me?
Whose heart will console me?
Whose name will I hold,
When the job is all done?

I trusted you blindly,
And did I so choose,
When you left me so quickly,
Why did you not bruise?
